Coming from ChargeHQ
ChargeHQ closed on 7 September 2026.
I was a customer too. When the shutdown was announced I looked at what I would lose — and at the one thing it never did for me.
It could only manage one car. I have two, and every sunny afternoon meant choosing which one got the surplus, or babysitting the app. So I built the replacement I wanted: everything ChargeHQ did well, plus the part it did not do at all.
- Solar-surplus tracking that follows cloud cover, not a fixed rate
- Battery-first or cars-first priority, with a reserve you set
- Scheduled off-peak top-ups and time-of-use tariffs
- The same meter fields as ChargeHQ's push API — a bridge you already wrote moves over by changing the URL and where the key goes
- Bring your history with you — import ChargeHQ's daily export and your charging carries over, savings and all
- Up to three cars at once, sharing one supply limit
Moving over
- Your solar and your chargerEvery inverter and wallbox Sunplug supports has its own setup guide — what you need, how long it takes, and what usually goes wrong.
- A bridge you wrote for ChargeHQThe push API takes the same fields. Change the address and move the key into a header — the three changes.
- Your historyImport ChargeHQ's daily export and your charging carries over, savings and all.
- A TeslaConnected directly, with no wallbox to configure — the Tesla guide.
Not sure your setup will move over? Tell me what you were running and I will make sure it is supported before you need it.
