GoodWe

Sunplug reads GoodWe through the SEMS portal, with your account password — read the caveat first.

In beta

This was tested against the vendor specifications but isn't running for Sunplug customers yet. If you experience any issue setting it up, reach out to [email protected] and I will work with you to iron out any issue.

How freshAbout every five minutes
Sees house loadYes
Sees the batteryYes

Five minutes is too slow for passing clouds. The Sunplug Agent reads ET-family hybrids locally — production, grid and battery every thirty seconds, nothing leaving the house.

Sign in with your GoodWe account — no password shared. GoodWe's official programme lets you grant read access on GoodWe's own page and withdraw it at any time. Sunplug's application is pending; once approved, connecting takes two clicks.

The caveat

Until then, Sunplug signs in with your SEMS account. The password is encrypted at rest and used only to obtain a session, but anyone holding it could do anything your account can. GoodWe's private app interface can also change without notice and break the connection until fixed.

If you can run the Sunplug Agent, prefer it: no cloud account needed.

Connecting

  1. Settings → Equipment → GoodWe SEMS Portal
  2. Your SEMS account email and password
  3. Your plant ID — the powerStationId in your SEMS portal URL when viewing the plant
  4. Check it works, then save

When it does not work

"SEMS rejected the account or password"

Check the same details sign you in to the SEMS portal in a browser. If you changed your password, update it in Sunplug too.

It worked and then stopped

Either your password changed or GoodWe changed their interface. Tell me and I will check which.

The plant ID is not obvious

Open the plant in the SEMS web portal: it is the long identifier after powerStationId= in the address bar.
