Sungrow
Click a button, approve on Sungrow's own page, done. No keys to copy, and Sunplug never sees your password.
This was tested against the vendor specifications but isn't running for Sunplug customers yet. If you experience any issue setting it up, reach out to [email protected] and I will work with you to iron out any issue.
Sungrow inverters upload to iSolarCloud every five minutes, however often Sunplug asks: fine on a steady day, behind on a changeable one. For live surplus tracking, Sunplug Agent reads SH-series hybrids over Modbus TCP on the WiNet-S dongle — production, house load, grid and battery, every thirty seconds.
Connecting
- Settings → Equipment → Sungrow
- Connect with Sungrow
- Sign in on iSolarCloud's own page and approve the request
- You are returned to Sunplug and your plant is connected
You can withdraw access from iSolarCloud at any time.
You need a plant
Access is granted per plant: your iSolarCloud account needs one with your inverter registered, usually created by your installer at commissioning.
When it does not work
"An installer must approve this first"
Your account has no plant. Ask whoever commissioned the system to add you, or create one and register the inverter's serial.
It connects but no readings arrive
If Sunplug says it found no plant power, it lists the measurement identifiers your plant returned. Send me that message and I will add them.
It stops working after a while
The authorisation expired or was withdrawn. Reconnect from Settings → Equipment.
