Victron GX

A GX device measures your whole site: AC- and DC-coupled production, grid import and export per phase, house load, battery power and state of charge. Sunplug reads those measurements on your network — nothing is estimated.

Turning Modbus on

Venus OS ships with Modbus TCP off. On the GX or its web interface: Settings → Services → Modbus TCP, and turn it on. Nothing else to configure.

Sunplug Agent then finds it on its network sweep. If the GX is on another VLAN or behind NAT, pick Victron from the manual list and type the address; port 502 and unit 100 are filled in and editable.

Which devices

Any GX: a Cerbo GX, an Ekrano GX, or a Raspberry Pi running Venus OS, which works exactly the same way.
