Connecting

  1. Settings → Equipment → inverter → Solis (SolisCloud)
  2. Press connect to open SolisCloud's sign-in page
  3. Sign in with your usual SolisCloud details
  4. Choose the plant and grant data access
  5. Press Agree. Solis returns you to the app, connected

Your SolisCloud account needs a plant on it before you start, or the approval cannot be completed. If your installer set the system up under their own account, ask them to share it to yours first.

Solis's page also offers device control. Do not grant it: Sunplug never writes to an inverter, and data access is enough.

What Sunplug reads

Five-minute refresh interval

SolisCloud refreshes about every five minutes, so Sunplug cannot follow a passing cloud. The Sunplug Agent has no local reader for Solis. For faster surplus readings, add a Shelly at your supply point, read locally every second or two; SolisCloud still supplies production and the battery.

When it does not work

The approval page will not let you finish

Almost always an account with no plant on it. Add the plant in SolisCloud, or have your installer share theirs to your account, and start again.

Sunplug asks you to approve again

The permission renews itself while it is used, but lapses if unused long enough or withdrawn in SolisCloud. Reconnect: Settings → Equipment → Solis → connect.

Production shows but house load does not

A string inverter with no meter does not report house load. Fit the Solis meter, or add a Shelly at the supply point.
